About The Event
Climate Collective Oxford is bringing together local community groups working in the climate and social justice movements to show what can be achieved when we all come together.
The THRIVE Oxford will be a one day event with something for everyone. For children, Mini Grey, the renowned children’s book author and illustrator and author will be introducing her book The Greatest Show on Earth. Social philosopher Roman Krznaric, author of The Good Ancestor, will be presenting a radical prescription for long-term thinking, and Deputy Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, Pete Sudbury will take a close look at recent data to see how the climate crisis is directly affecting the county. There will be a second-hand climate and nature book stall, a family nature-craft area, the chance to make badges and get up close to honeybees, plus plenty of in-depth information on issues such as how to save energy in your…
