THRIVE OXFORD

On 5th June 2025, Climate Collective Oxford brought together local community groups working in the climate and social justice movements for a day of connection and hope for the future.

At THRIVE Oxford there was something for everyone! Our exciting programme highlighted local initiatives around the themes of food, travel, energy, nature and reducing waste and visitors were able to:

  • Find out about composting and learn fermentation techniques to reduce food waste

  • Get impartial advice on saving energy and retrofitting their houses

  • See how honey is made with a real bee display hive (and taste some different flavours)

  • Join a citizen science project testing the water quality of our rivers

  • Discuss how to make our neighbourhoods and streets more climate friendly

  • Join the Library of Things and make badges on issues they cared about

  • Enjoy some family nature-crafts

  • Take part in a singing workshop

  • Pick up a good read from the second-hand climate and nature book stall

You can still find a full programme of the event on Eventbrite page

We also had a great variety of workshops and speakers:
